Kahulaleʻa is a Native Hawaiian-owned aloha wear boutique, proudly locally owned and ‘Ohana operated. Founded in 2013 by Kēhaulani Nielson, a talented Native Hawaiian designer, artist, hula practitioner, and businesswoman, Kahulale’a has quickly become a beloved name in the Hawaii fashion scene.

I first got to work with Kēhau in August of 2023, of which brought one of my most beloved relationships I currently have with not only a brand, but the designer. From that first photoshoot, I’ve then gone to shoot various collections with Kēhau leading up to Merrie Monarch of 2024 (a.k.a. the Superbowl for Hawaiian designers), television spots, spreads for HanaHou! Magazine, and fashion shows.
